Northeast Regional Amtrak Line

Riding the rails between Washington, DC and New York City, you see miles and miles of dilapidated industrial sites, graffiti, colorful working class neighborhoods, and rail infrastructure. I find a strange and haunting beauty in it, so on a return trip from NYC in December 2013 I diligently sat by the window with camera in hand, set to capture images whizzing by at high speed with a super-fast shutter. I deliberately processed the images to have a more urbanized, harsher look to enhance the stark aesthetic.
